The age old process of fuming Oak results in the natural tanins in the Oak turning a deep brown colour. A deeper brown colour is achieved when the Oak is fumed for three months. The tanins are not equally spread throughout the structure of the tree so the heart and sappy exterior do not turn as dark as the middle core of the tree. This results in some natural colour variation in all fumed and double fumed Oak.
Single fumed to create a warm, but light tan appearance, a beautiful wood floor that combines the process of fuming with brushing and oiling. The finished board feels and looks warm and very natural. FSC® certified
These 15mm plank floors are naturally darkened by a series of heat treatments then brushed and oiled for a textured, natural finish. Additionally, thermo oak can then be fumed for the ultimate in a naturally darkened oak plank. Remarkably, both floors keep their natural subtleties and discreet tones in spite of their darker appearance. FSC® certified
2-Ply Double Fumed Oak Oiled, These 2-Ply planks are made with a 6mm hardwood wear bonded to 14mm of 10 layer birch ply. You can use this highly stable product as a structural or floating floor. 2-Ply is available in a variety of widths for use as either a traditional random width floor or to a specific width to best suit your interior.
